16/00906/COU – WYRLEY RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB, LONG LANE PARK, LONG LANE, SPRINGHILL, WOLVERHAMPTION, SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE - APPLICANT – MR N IMAMOGLU – PARISH – ESSINGTON

Councillor D Clifft motioned that the application be refused on the grounds it would cause a loss of amenity to the community in Essington. This motion was seconded by Councillor P Lever

RESOLVED: that the application be overturned and refused on the following grounds:

1. The proposed change of use would be contrary to Core Policy 10 (Sustainable Community Facilities and Services) and policy EV9 (Provision and Retention of Local Community Facilities) of the adopted Core Strategy

17/00317/OUT – LAND ON THE NORTH EAST SIDE OF STAFFORD ROAD, PENKRIDGE, SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE – APPLICANT – MR N BEATTIE – PARISH – PENKRIDGE

Councillor Bates moved for refusal – site in Open Countryside, proposal contrary to OC1, EQ1, EQ4 and  EQ11 of Core Strategy.Councillor Ford seconded, is concerned Penkridge is being overtaken by building, facilities overstretched. Councillors B Cox, D Clifft, D Williams and V Chapman supported refusal

 

RESOLVED: that the application be overturned and refused on the following grounds:

 

1.The proposed development is contrary to the policies for the control of development in the Open Countryside within the adopted Core Strategy and is contrary to policies OC1, EQ1, EQ4 and EQ11 of the adopted Core Strategy

RESOLVED: that the application be approved as recommended

Councillor L Bates moved for refusal on grounds that proposal does not accord with Core Strategy policies OC1, EQ4 and EQ11. This was seconded by Councillor I Ford. Councillors D Williams, R Wright, J  Ashley, D Clifft and P Lever all spoke against.

 

RESOLVED: that the application be overturned and refused on the following grounds:

RESOLVED: that the application be approved as recommended

Mr M Mason spoke for the application

Councillor P Lever moved to remove the tree, Councillor D Clifft seconded. Councillors B Cox, N Caine, M Bond and D Williams supported removal of the tree. Councillor B Edwards suggested in future new development shouldn’t be allowed near trees.

 

RESOLVED: that the application be overturned and the removal of the tree be approved on condition that a replacement was planted in a public place in this planting season, of a size and species to be specified by Steve Dores
